So we were gone a little longer than we intended but we think it will be worth it. We have had some growing pains already and worked through them. Our email list is working properly and we have got some really cool things coming in the next couple of weeks. We have also decided that going 6(!) months between visits in just too long, so we have altered our format slightly, okay a lot, but definitely for the better. We will now have new content every couple of weeks which means that you will be getting an email when we put new stuff up more often. If you find this new rate just too anoying, feel free to unsubscribe, you will still be able to see the content here but you will miss out on cool things available only to subscribers. You'll notice some changes to our navigation up top, Archives is where you'll find older articles, This Issue should be pretty clear. Videos is new and very cool. Right now there are the Signe Chanel videos that are up on YouTube but more organized so they make sense. We will be adding some original content to that section soon also. Bookshelf is another new feature. This will take you to books recommended in articles or just really good reference stuff you should have. You can buy directly from there too. Yes, we are book enablers, because the only thing we like as much as fabric is books!
I can't talk about all the cool things we have brewing but I can tell you about some. We are putting the finishing touches on our wardrobe feature. Sorry, you're just going to have to wait a few more days! What this will do is give you the ability to "play" with a wardrobe on a specific figure. In this case, Lisette's (no laughing!). If you've never experienced the power of SWAP before, Stand back honey! 'cause you are not gonna believe how many outfits you can get out of 12 pieces of clothing! We counted over 250 different outfits. The wardrobe was put together with input from Nancy Nix-Rice and Lisette has been sewing her little fingers to the bone to get it all made up. She can't wait to wear it! She's also buying accessories to go with this new color scheme, including shoes, much to the chagrin of her long-suffering husband! We also have another great Bonnie Cashin article from Jennifer Orsini. She has also started a vintage clothing and sewing business in Pasedena, CA (busy girl!) called Pintucks. If you live in the area her class list is on the website and it is to die for!
